What is Custom Car Stereo?

Custom Car Stereo is not a commercial website.  It is a collection of articles published with the goal of helping people involved with car audio and security.  Whether you are a newcomer into car audio or a professional, this website will prove to be an invaluable resource.

Sections

The website is divided into 6 sections:  Main Page, Audio Components, Audio Components Installation, Security/ Accessories, Reference and Featured Installs.

All the sections are important and have related articles.  It is strongly recommended to read the installation and reference sections, even if you are not installing your own components.  They will give you an insight of what is involved with each component's installation options and available features.

Navigation

The top graphical menu on the left has links to the main sections.

Within each section, the title will take you to the section's index.  The text links under the title will open each page within the section.

The CCS/Home link at the bottom of the left menu, as well as bottom of individual pages will take you back to the main index.

ALL external links will open in a new window.  The featured installs and test equipment pages are located in a different server and might take a bit more to load.

All the graphics in the website are optimized to be as small as possible.  It is recommended that you turn the "shown images" feature off on your browser if you have the graphics disabled.

A few pages in this website need Java to be turned on in your browser to work properly (online calculators).

About the Author

This is site is a Custom Car Stereo web site's revival.

Few years ago I used the information provided by Custom Car Sound as a reference for building my own car stereo. I downloaded the site for my convenience.

A month ago I found that the domain customcarsound.com had been bought by someone and that valuable web site was not available online any more. After I had tryed several times to find the autor - unsuccessfuly - I decided to re-post it anyway.

By this time I don't know who is the autor of this great site, but publishing it again I would like to say him a big 'thank you' for what he did.

So this is almost the full version of the Custom Car Stereo. I made just few changes in the code.
